5-Day Tour: Atlas Mountains and Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Gorges

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and drive towards the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll pass through traditional Berber villages and breathtaking scenery. After crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass, we’ll continue to the Dades Gorges, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional guesthouse.

Day 2: Dades Gorges to Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to the Merzouga Desert, passing through the Todra Gorges and the Tafilalet Oasis. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga and ride camels to our desert camp, where we’ll spend the night under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga to Ouarzazate

After watching the sunrise over the dunes, we’ll return to Merzouga by camel and drive to Ouarzazate. Along the way, we’ll visit the Rissani Market and the Draa Valley, one of the  largest oases in Morocco. In Ouarzazate, we’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou

We’ll start the day with a visit to the Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate, followed by a drive to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive kasbahs in Morocco. We’ll then continue to the High Atlas Mountains and spend the night in a guesthouse in the village of Imlil.

Day 5: Imlil to Marrakech

After breakfast, we’ll trek through the Toubkal National Park, passing through traditional Berber villages and scenic mountain landscapes. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Marrakech and say our goodbyes and end the tour.

6-Day Tour: Atlas Mountains and Merzouga Desert

Day 1-4: Same as the 5-day tour

Day 5: Ait Ben Haddou to Taroudant

On day 5, we’ll leave the High Atlas Mountains and drive to Taroudant, known as the “Grandmother of Marrakech” and one of the oldest cities in Morocco. We’ll spend the night in a traditional riad in the city center.

Day 6: Taroudant to Agadir

After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to Agadir, a seaside resort town famous for its long sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife. We’ll explore the city and spend the night in a hotel.

7-Day Tour: Atlas Mountains and Merzouga Desert

Day 1-5: Same as the 6-day tour

Day 6: Agadir to Essaouira

On day 6, we’ll drive to Essaouira, a charming coastal town known for its white-washed houses, vibrant markets, and  beautiful beaches. We’ll spend the day exploring the town, taking in the sights and sounds of the ancient city walls, the picturesque fishing port, and the bustling souks. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a seafood dinner in one of the town’s many excellent restaurants before retiring to our hotel for the night.

Day 7: Essaouira to Marrakech

On the final day of the tour, we’ll drive back to Marrakech, stopping along the way to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Atlas Mountains. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the early afternoon, where our adventure will end.
