Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour – Day 1
The tour guide, who is also an experienced driver, will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech and begin the trip by driving to the south of Morocco through the the High Atlas Mountains.
On this drive, you will cross the highest pass in Morocco – the Tichka pass – at a height of 2260 metres. This location gives tourists an excellent view of the surrounding Berber villages.
As we progress towards Fes, we will visit Ait-Ben Haddou – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and also a favourite location of Hollywood filmmakers. Several movies such as Gladiator, The King of Heaven, and Alexander were shot here.

On day 2, we will visit Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, and experience the local culture in Berber Villages. We’ll end the day with a 2-hour camel ride from Merzouga to the nomadic camp where you’ll enjoy a night out in the desert ensconced in a comfortable tent.

The Koutoubia Mosque was built by the Almohad caliph after conquering this region from the previous rulers. Its 77-metre minaret is an important landmark in Marrakech.
The Saadian tombs located in the royal Kasbah district of Marrakech are a representation of the finest Moroccan architecture because of their luxurious design.
