11 Days Journey to the Soul of Morocco: Touring from Casablanca to Marrakech

You’ll take a mountainous drive, enjoy a barbecue like the Berbers, and ride camels to see the sunset. In the Sahara Desert, you’ll set a camp beneath the stars. Following are details about our 11 days journey to the soul of Morocco; from Casablanca to Marrakech.

Day #1: Casablanca

Greetings from Morocco! Something special needs to be done only after a meeting at 6 pm. If you have some free time, you can explore Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco. You will find a variety of fascinating building types around Casablanca. You can discover Casablanca in a number of different ways. You can start by walking through the Old Medina and the city walls. Then, you can take a taxi to Quartier Habous, quite a modern city area with narrow streets and shops. You might stop to get coffee and buy the local craft by negotiating with the shopkeepers.

Day #2: Meknes – Moulay Idriss

After breakfast, if you so want, you have the option of taking a visit to the Hassan II Mosque. After the tour, you can travel to the train station to ride a local train to Meknes. After you arrive, take a taxi to Moulay Idriss, a gorgeous village in Morocco. For tourists, this village holds significant importance. You can enjoy the scenery there and eat a fantastic lunch. They have such a unique camel-based burger available! However, there are other options. There will be options for you to pick from if you don’t eat meat. You’ll get to meet with a local family in the evening.

Day #3: Fes

Join us on an interesting journey to some pretty old Roman ruins. The remains are known as Volubilis, and we can travel through the lovely hills surrounding them. We will have a guide so that we may learn more about the ruins while we are exploring them. After we visit the ruins, we’ll return to Meknes and meet a local guide who will give us a tour of the city.

Day #4: Fes

You’ll have a guide to show you around today, making your Fes tour even more fun. You’ll get to explore the spectacular markets, beautiful mosques, and brilliant artists that give this city its vibrant atmosphere. The Medersa Bou Inania, a unique structure now open to tourists, will be the tour destination. Also, you can visit the well-known tannery with its awful but fascinating dye pits and a ceramic factory where you may observe potters at work the old-fashioned way.

Day #5: Midelt

Ifrane, a French-built mountain resort in 1929, can be found to the south. There, you can rest and stretch your legs. The land is open as you get to Midelt to enjoy beautiful views to the west. Fields and orchards border a small village called Midelt, and you may witness Berber locals caring for their animals there. You can take a two-hour hike before spending the night in Midelt.

Day #6: Sahara Camp

While traveling to the desert, Take a break and stop in the interesting Gorges du Ziz. Then travel to Errachidia, a sizable city. Ultimately, you will reach Merzouga, where you will spend the night next to an unassuming inn called Auberge. Prepare for a thrilling adventure; you’ll spend around an hour riding a camel in the huge desert to witness an incredible sunset. After the ride, you’ll spend the night in a secluded camp with a small mattress, blankets, and linens.

Day #7: Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Wake up early before sunrise. See the sunrise from a neighboring sandhill. The Sahara desert, gently shining by sunshine, is magnificent. After breakfast, pack and head to Todra—a beautiful valley with palm trees and mud-brick cottages. The ground’s green tablecloth may make you think you’re dreaming. From there, you can hike into a gorge, where you’ll see cliffs over 1000 feet tall!

Day #8: Ait Benhaddou

After Todra Gorge, drive Morocco’s “Drive of 1,000 Kasbahs” and see Dades Gorge. Beautiful small houses seem like phantoms in Skoura’s dry riverbed. Tawesna teahouse sells world-class mint tea and donates earnings to village women’s projects. This tea experience is about learning about the culture, sharing a moment, and supporting sustainable tourism and women’s economic inclusion.

Day #9: High Atlas – Marrakech

Berber communities are found westward. Lunch will be in a township. Moroccan minced beef, vegetables, and fresh bread make a tasty meal. Have a local drink with your dinner. After crossing the Mountains, you’ll reach Marrakech’s plains in the late afternoon. Jemaa el Fna is full of performers and shops. Enjoy fire eaters, fortune tellers, actors, and musicians.

Day #10: Marrakech

Today, you’ll taste street food With a local guide. You’ll visit Marrakech’s old town, where locals buy essentials. Taste some sweet and savory delicacies. You’re free later. You may ride a bike, a quad bike, or a luxurious spa. Much to do!

Day #11: Marrakech

After breakfast, there is yet to be a plan. How about becoming a Moroccan MasterChef with a local guide? You’ll visit Marrakech’s markets to pick the best ingredients and learn how to create a delicious tagine in a traditional Moroccan home. You’ll also meet the family there.
